Meet the Team
Keith Barbour, Founder and CEO
My first interaction with computers came in the 1980’s when, at 8 years old, my older brother taught me how to program DOS on the family’s Tandy 1000 TX. Captivated by the logic involved with computers, I quickly began writing my first program.
In the early 2000’s I attended a technical training academy and within 6 months earned my Microsoft Certified Professional and Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator designation. From there, I launched my IT career doing on-site repair, desktop, and server support, however it wasn’t long before I realized I could offer a more customer-centric approach to IT Service. With that goal in mind, I struck out on my own to create what is now known as KDA Tech Solutions.
Armed with a full spectrum of IT experience, I offer valuable knowledge in Productivity Software, VoIP Systems, Physical and Wireless Networking, Server Systems of all types, Security, Virus Removal and Mitigation, Disaster Recovery and Planning, Compliance Auditing and much more. Coupled with my business development experience (derived from helping launch seven start-up companies in varied industries) I use my wide range of relevant knowledge to help make KDA’s clients more productive and profitable.
In my free time I enjoy spending quality time with my wife Sarah and our little boy Oliver.
Daniel Mott, VP of Operations
I grew up in rural York County and always had a strong desire to learn. At the age of nine I dove into model railroading with help from my Dad. Building and wiring my own track systems became my introduction into general logic circuitry. As a motivated teen I started my career as a residential/commercial electrician eventually purchasing my boss’s company at 19.
In addition to electrician work, I began doing cable installs, which sparked my interest to learn more about computers and the Internet. After completing my CCNA certification, I moved into a Network Engineer position for a global manufacturing and security firm in 2014 where I was responsible for numerous site networking buildouts and office moves. I managed their global network infrastructure remotely and occasionally on site in places like the UK, Germany, The Dominican Republic, and Hong Kong. From there I’ve expanded my skill set in the A/V field as well as in the managed services space and am excited to now offer my full range of IT and Networking experience to KDA customers.
On days off I love spending time with my wife Yolanda, little girl Liliana, and working on my hobbies including metal fabrication, 3D printing, 3D CAD design, go-kart building and racing.
Anthony Mott, Senior Technician
I started in IT when I was 14 years old training and working with my father’s computer repair business. While out on calls with my Dad, I enjoyed the face to face interactions with clients as well as the satisfaction of learning while helping people solve their computer problems. Since getting my driver’s license, I’ve been the primary onsite technician for KDA. They rely on me to resolve the issues that can’t be taken care of remotely. Over the past few years, I have earned a solid knowledge of troubleshooting, building networks, computer repair, data recovery, virus removal and mitigation.
When I’m not running around multiple counties helping clients, I can be found at home 3D printing various things, riding my bike on local trails, and fixing up my minibike.
